Description

With the MDI 81 module, eight detector loops in a conventional system (KESS, DC) can be connected to the SecuriLine®. In addition, three outputs are available for supplying the detectors, a monitoring input for an external tamper switch and a fixed tamper switch.

In the case of KESS applications, alarm and sabotage can be distinguished on the same loop. The outputs and the conventional line evaluation can be programmed and linked freely via the software.

Mounting / Installation

Mounting and installation of the MDI 81 are c®arried out in the MCU 211 or externally in the SecuriPro® installation socket DOS 816. The MDI is fixed by means of four spacers supplied.

The monitoring contact (cover contact DK) is installed on the pc-board so that it is adjustable in height. An external DK contact can be connected to the MDI 81 at 2 additional terminals, but the internal contact must not be actively used.

Danger information

The voltage drop and the minimum operating voltage of the connected intruder detectors must be taken into account and calculated.

Connection

The connections of the MDI 81 installation are via the pluggable terminal blocks. The following terminal blocks are available:

Top; 16 terminals for 8 detector lines

Right side; 8 terminals for SecuriLine® and power supply

Left side; 6 terminals for 3 outputs

Bottom; 2 terminals for an additional cover co ntact

Safety information

The three outputs are open collectors (OC), each of which may be loaded with 50 mA.

The 8 detector loops are pure monitoring loops and cannot be used for supplying voltage to detectors.
